Chinese 

In many regions of China, Father’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in June! And in Chinese, ‘I wish you a happy Father’s Day’ translates to 祝你父亲节快乐! (Zhù nǐ fùq īn jié kuài lè).

Japanese

The Japanese also celebrate Father’s Day in June, and Happy Father’s Day in Japanese is 父の日おめでとう (Chichi no hi omedeto). Flowers, handmade gifts, and traditional Japanese sweet treats are common sights at Father’s Day celebrations in Japan.

Korean

In South Korea, there’s no Father’s Day specifically, however, Parent’s Day is celebrated in May! Koreans will say: 어버이날 보내세요 (eobeoinal jal bonaeseyo) which translates to happy Parent’s Day! (this is certainly one way to include your mum in this year’s Father’s Day celebrations). 

Thai

In Thailand, Father’s Day is celebrated on December 5th each year. It’s a national holiday, and a time when families commonly come together! If you’re hoping to say happy Father’s Day in Thai, simply say สุขสันต์วันพ่อ (sùk-săn wan pâw).

Hindi
