GENERAL

1.1. These are the terms and conditions (Terms) for the XTRAthortful service (hereafter "XTRAthortful").

1.2. XTRAthortful provides a 33% discount on all eligible A5 and A4 cards for a one-off annual fee of £9.99 (the "Subscription Fee"). The exact application of this discount, including for transactions involving gifts, is detailed in Section 4.

1.3. XTRAthortful is available on www.thortful.com and the official thortful iOS and Android applications (collectively, the "Service").

1.4. These Terms are legally binding for all XTRAthortful subscribers. By subscribing, you are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms (as amended from time to time).

1.5. These Terms are supplemental to the main thortful Customer Terms and Conditions, which can be found at [URL] (the "Customer Terms and Conditions").

1.7. Any reference of “we”, “us” or “our” in these Terms is a reference to thortful, registered address: Dean Bradley House, 52 Horseferry Road, London, SW1P 2AF, England. Any reference to “you” or “your” is a reference to any XTRAthortful subscriber.

2. SUBSCRIPTION TO XTRAthortful

2.1. You must be a registered thortful customer, holding an active and unrestricted thortful customer account, to subscribe.

2.2. You must be aged 18 or over to subscribe to and use the XTRAthortful.

2.3. When you subscribe to XTRAthortful, you will be sent a welcome email to the email address registered to your account. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours, please check your spam/junk folder and then contact our Customer Service Team.

3. USING YOUR XTRAthortful SUBSCRIPTION

3.1. Your XTRAthortful subscription is valid for 12 months (the "Term") and shall commence from the day you sign up.

3.2. You must be logged in to your thortful customer account to access and use the subscription benefits.

3.3. XTRAthortful is strictly for your personal, non-commercial use. It should not be used for any business, resale, or wholesale purposes. We reserve the right to terminate your subscription without a refund if we reasonably believe such activity.

3.4. You are responsible for all activities and purchases made using your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect that anyone has obtained unauthorised access to your account.

4. SUBSCRIPTION DISCOUNT & USAGE

4.1. The 33% subscription discount is applied automatically to all eligible cards purchased during the 12-month Term.
a) Eligible Cards: The discount applies to A4 cards & A5 cards including Face Swap cards and Photocards.
b) Excluded Products: The discount does not apply to ‘Card Packs’ and ‘A6 Cards - Pack of 4’

4.2. The discount is calculated as 33% of the value of the eligible card(s) in your basket. This resulting cash discount amount is applied to your basket as follows:
a) Card-Only Order: The 33% discount is applied directly to the eligible card(s) price.
b) Card and Gift Order: The total cash discount amount derived from the eligible card(s) is applied to the overall basket total. E.g. If an eligible A5 card costs £3.99 and a gift costs £9.99, the 33% discount is applied only to the £3.99 card value (£1.32). The total discount applied to the basket is £1.32.

4.3. The Thortful Subscription discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional coupon code or account credits. Applying a separate coupon code or using account credits will remove the Thortful Subscription discount from your basket for that transaction.

5. INITIAL PURCHASE & INITIAL ACTIVATION DISCOUNT

5.1. XTRAthortful must be purchased as part of a transaction that also includes at least one other product. The subscription cannot be the only item in your basket at checkout.

5.2. As part of your initial purchase a one-time Initial Activation Discount will be applied, this will be displayed at the point of purchase. This discount cannot be applied retrospectively to orders already placed.

5.3. The subscription discount (as per Section 4) will not apply to other items in your basket during the transaction in which you purchase the subscription. Your subscription benefits will become active after this purchase and will apply to all future eligible orders for the 12-month Term.

6. PAYMENT & AUTO-RENEWAL

6.1. The Subscription Fee must be paid for using a valid credit or debit card via our secure payment provider, Stripe, which includes Apple Pay and Google Pay.

6.2. PayPal is not supported for XTRAthortful purchase or renewal payments. If you add the subscription to your basket and have PayPal selected as your payment method, you will be required to return to the payment selection step and choose a valid card method (Stripe).

6.3. XTRAthortful will auto-renew at the end of each 12-month Term. We will notify you 30 days in advance of your renewal, and the Subscription Fee for the next 12-month period will be charged to the payment method used for your initial subscription purchase, unless you have updated your payment method in the “My Account” section of the thortful site, or thortful iOS and Android apps.

6.4. You can update the payment method used for your subscription at any time, using the “My Account” section of the thortful site.

7. CANCELLATION

7.1. You have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days (the "Cooling-Off Period") from the day you sign up, or from the day of any auto-renewal. Cancellations made during the Cooling-Off Period must be done by contacting our customer happiness department, as outlined in per Section 1.6.

7.2. If you choose to cancel within this 14-day Cooling-Off Period, you will receive a refund for the £9.99 Subscription Fee, minus the value of any subscription benefits you have already used.
a) Benefits used include, but are not limited to, the initial activation discount (as per Section 5.2) and any discounts applied to subsequent orders.
b) For example, if you cancel within 14 days after purchasing the subscription, and receive a £5.79 activation discount, but have not placed any other orders, you will be refunded £4.20 (the £9.99 XTRAthortful fee minus the £5.79 activation discount).

7.3. At the end of your current 12-month Term, the subscription will auto-renew unless you cancel as per Section 7.4. If a renewal occurs, you are granted a further 14-day Renewal Cooling-Off Period beginning on the day the renewal payment is debited (or you become liable for it). You may cancel during that 14-day Renewal Cooling-Off Period.

7.4. Outside of the cooling-off periods described in Sections 7.1 and 7.3, you have two options for managing your subscription:
a) Cancelling Auto-Renewal: You may opt out of auto-renewal at any time by selecting the "Cancel XTRAthortful subscription" option in your account. Your subscription and all benefits will remain active until the end of the current 12-month Term, at which point it will expire and will not be renewed.
b) Immediate Cancellation: You may choose to cancel your subscription immediately at any time by contacting the customer happiness department, as outlined in per Section 1.6. If you request an immediate cancellation outside a cooling-off period, your subscription will end immediately. You will not receive a refund for the remaining Term unless required by law.

7.5. If you cancel during a Renewal Cooling-Off Period (Section 7.3), we will refund the renewal payment and you will be released from further obligations under the contract from the time of cancellation. Any subscription benefits used during the Renewal Cooling-Off Period may be deducted on a pro-rata basis in line with our standard refund calculation (or as required under applicable law).

7.6. No penalty or charge may be imposed on you for cancelling under the Initial or Renewal Cooling-Off Periods.

7.7. For clarity:
• The Initial Cooling-Off Period commences on the day you subscribe.
• The Renewal Cooling-Off Period commences on the day the renewal payment is taken (or you become liable) and ends 14 days later.
• We will provide you with a renewal-notice and a cooling-off notice in accordance with the DMCCA renewal-cooling-off requirements (see Section 9 for notices).

8. TERMINATION AND SUSPENSION

8.1. We may terminate or suspend your subscription if we reasonably believe it is necessary for security, legal, regulatory or operational reasons, or if you breach these Terms.

8.2. If we terminate your subscription for reasons other than a breach by you, you will be given a prorated refund based on the number of full months remaining in your Term.

8.3. We will not provide a refund if we terminate your subscription because we suspect or discover (at our sole discretion) that you have:
Breached any of these Terms or our main Customer Terms and Conditions;
Used the subscription for any business, wholesale, or resale purposes;
Been involved in fraudulent behaviour or any activity not in line with our interests.

9. NOTICES

9.1. How we provide notices
We may provide you with any notice required under these Terms or under applicable law (including the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024) by email to the address registered to your thortful account, or by displaying a notification within your “My Account” area. Notices sent by email shall be deemed received at the time they are sent.

9.2. Advance Renewal Notice (30-Day Renewal Reminder)
At least 30 days before the end of each 12-month Term, we will send you an Advance Renewal Notice. This notice will clearly state:
a) the scheduled renewal date;
b) the renewal price payable for the next 12-month Term;
c) how to cancel auto-renewal before the renewal date;
d) a reminder that you will also have a 14-day Renewal Cooling-Off Period after the renewal takes place.
e) the payment method that will be charged, and how to update it

9.3. Renewal Confirmation & Cooling-Off Notice (Provided on Renewal Day)
On the day your subscription renews, we will send you a Renewal Confirmation and Cooling-Off Notice. This notice will confirm:
a) that your subscription has renewed;
b) the amount charged and the date of the charge;
c) the start and end date of your 14-day Renewal Cooling-Off Period;
d) your right to cancel during the Renewal Cooling-Off Period and receive a refund (minus the value of any subscription benefits used);
e) instructions on how to cancel, including links to the relevant section of your account or Customer Service contact details.
f) the payment method that will be charged, and how to update it

9.4. Service Notices and Operational Changes
We may also issue notices regarding operational or technical changes to the XTRAthortful service where these do not materially affect your rights or obligations. These notices may be provided by email or by in-app notification and take effect upon delivery.

9.5. Your obligation to keep details up to date
You are responsible for ensuring that the email address registered to your thortful account is accurate and accessible. We are not responsible for any lost, blocked, or misdirected notices resulting from outdated or incorrect contact information.

10. CHANGES TO TERMS & FEES

10.1. We retain the right to increase the Subscription Fee or change these Terms. Any such changes will only be made for a valid reason, including but not limited to: increases in inflation, changes to supplier costs, changes to regulatory or tax obligations, or investment in product and service improvements.

10.2. Should the Subscription Fee change, we shall provide notice of the new fee and the date of the charge at least forty (40) days before your scheduled auto-renewal date. This notice will remind you of your right to cancel your subscription's auto-renewal (as detailed in Section 7.4) before the new price is applied. No price change will apply to your current 12-month Term; changes apply only from your next renewal date.

11. PRIVACY

11.1. We will only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

12. GOVERNING LAW

12.1. These Terms shall be governed by English law, and any dispute in relation to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
