We don’t really like Black Friday, since we know it can be a daunting time for small businesses – the sales start earlier each year and it can feel impossible to compete with the huge brands.
Similar to last year, this year we’re going to be encouraging our customers to keep shopping small, with a small campaign we’re calling… Keep Shopping Small.
From 26 November to 3 December, we’ll be promoting a code for free postage on all of our A5 cards. We’re covering delivery, they save money, and you get paid fairly for your work. Along the way we’ll be reminding them about the benefits of supporting small businesses like yours, too.
We’ve also created some handy sharing assets for you to post all over your social media platforms. Simply download the assets and insert your image into the gap using your design tool of choice. A bit like those face-in-the-hole things at the seaside.

Keep an eye on our creator Instagram account @thortfulcreators as we’ll be sharing some small businesses that we love on our stories.
The discount code has some short T&Cs that go along with it (how many times they can use it, etc), so if you’re directing people to our site for free postage, we’d suggest sending them to thortful.com – where we can make sure they’ve seen the T&Cs at the same time as the code.
