Here at thortful, we’re (no big surprise) all about being thoughtful – and there’s not much more thoughtful than giving to charity, especially at Christmas. It’s the season of goodwill and peace to all, so for the festive season, we’re proud to announce that we’ve partnered with four amazing charities. We’ll be turning your festive charity Christmas A6 Card Pack purchases into donations for great causes, so you can send your loved ones a brilliant and unique Christmas card and give to some really deserving charities.
For every pack of A6 Charity Cards that we sell, we’ll be donating 5p, divided amongst our charities. Read on to see who’ll benefit when you buy!
Heart Research UK
Heart Research UK are taking on heart disease. Coronary heart disease is one of the single biggest killers in the UK – that’s why Heart Research inspire and invest in life-saving medical research into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease, as well as supporting ground-breaking training and education.
They’ve invested £27 million in pioneering medical research and funded 281 research grants since 1998, and they’ve seen a 50% decrease in the death rate from cardiovascular disease in the UK over the last 20 years – but there’s still more work to do. And they don’t just do research – they also work closely in communities, and have funded 293 community grants since 2001, with over 150,000 direct beneficiaries in communities across the UK.

Dementia Adventure
Dementia Adventure are thinking differently about dementia. This charity supports people living with dementia, as well as their carers and loved ones, by helping them to retain a sense of adventure; helping them to get outdoors and connect with nature, themselves and their community.
850,000 people are living with dementia in the UK – and until a cure can be found, it’s important to find new ways to help people living with this to live better and slow the progress of the condition. We’re really proud to be supporting the great work that Dementia Adventure do with our A6 Charity Cards, but if you want to give a little extra this season, head to their donation page.
Voyage Youth
Voyage Youth is a London based charity that’s building communities, sustaining positive progress and empowering marginalised young Black people with the self-awareness and motivation to transform themselves and their communities. With their unique combination of workshops, leadership programmes, support for parents and carers, and work in schools, Voyage are helping to support communities and transform lives.
Voyage works with young people to help enhance and encourage their abilities, interests, and skills, so that they can reach their full potential at school and elsewhere. Their work in schools helps to support young Black students – and 100% of their students said that working with Voyage improved their attitude towards learning. Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue
Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue are creating happy, healthy lives for greyhounds and lurchers. These lovely dogs are more often than not specifically bred for racing – in the UK and Ireland alone, around 30,000 greyhounds are bred for racing. They often face hardships in their racing years, and even minor injuries can lead to them being abandoned or put down. Even a successful racing dog at the end of its career is unlikely to be rewarded with a loving home – which is where Evesham Rescue steps in.
Founded over 30 years ago by Pip Singleton in 1989, Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue has foster homes across the country that look after and raise funds for the 70+ dogs being cared for at any one time. The dogs cared for by the rescue homes and volunteers often need to be nursed back to health or rehabilitated for physical and mental scars that have occurred after years of racing or neglect.
It’s no secret that we love dogs here at thortful – our creators have designed more than two thousand unique dog cards! – which is why we’re so pleased to be able to support the important work that Evesham Rescue are doing.
