Spread a Smile provides a distraction from long hospital stays by spreading joy, laughter and positive memories to seriously ill children and their families during intensive treatment. Every year they spread smiles and laughter to thousands of hospitalised children, teenagers and their families through hospital entertainment, family outings &amp; events, art activities and digital services including Smile TV and Smile Spaces.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/spreadasmileuk\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-4838 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-content.thortful.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Screenshot-2020-07-02-at-14.30.51.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"481\" height=\"513\" \/>instagram @blog-content.thortful.comspreadasmile<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019ve asked children in hospitals across the UK to send us their drawings on the theme \u201cacross generations.\u201d 5 of our talented creators will then be working with the children via zoom to make their designs come to life into cards that will be available to buy in a gallery space on thortful. 100% of profits will be donated to Spread a Smile.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog-content.thortful.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Mikayla-Drawing-in-frame.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-4837 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-content.thortful.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Mikayla-Drawing-in-frame.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"373\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Our first submission, Mikayla age 10<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lucy Jackson, CEO of Spread a Smile, said,\u00a0Lucy Jackson, CEO of Spread a Smile, said, \u201cWe\u2019re big fans of <a href=\"http:\/\/thortful.com\/\">thortful.com<\/a> at Spread a Smile and we have often thought when on the site, having seen their <i>Send a Smile<\/i> section, what a great fit our two brands are. Together, we have created a project that can entertain and inspire the young people we support, which is particularly important at the moment where they are more isolated than ever before in hospital and at home. We are excited to be able to introduce some of our young budding artists to the talented creative community at thortful.
