We thought it\u2019s about time you heard what we\u2019re getting up to behind the scenes to make sure we\u2019re doing our bit for ol\u2019 Mother Earth. You see, without trees, thortful wouldn’t exist. (Unless you made cards out of chocolate or something, but that’s just impractical. And sticky.)<\/span><\/p>

So it’s a no-brainer for us to give back to the forests that give us our paper by planting as many trees as we can.<\/span><\/p>

Why are we telling you all this? Well, we think it’s important that businesses are transparent about what they’re doing to make eco conscious choices. We’re so proud of our efforts that we want to shout them from the rooftops as often as we can.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Since partnering with Ecologi, we have helped fund various projects around the world, along with other eco-conscious businesses.<\/span><\/p>

We’ve now planted over <\/span>1,930 trees<\/span> in all corners of the world, including Kenya, Madagascar, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, Senegal, (pause for breath…) Ecuador, Morocco, and Peru.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In this project alone, we’re proud to say that thortful has prevented 22.3 tons of carbon from entering our atmosphere.<\/p>

And along with the other projects we fund through Ecologi (which we’d love to talk about more in future blogs!) the trees we’ve planted have removed 210 tons of carbon from the atmosphere. That’s the equivalent of 100 economy flights from London to Beijing! By restoring the natural forest areas, we\u2019re doing our bit to become a part of #GenerationRestoration.<\/span><\/p>

In addition to our partnership with Ecologi, we\u2019re super proud of our other eco credentials.<\/p>

We use vegan inks which, yes, is a thing. We\u2019ve partnered with Ecologi to plant 1000s of trees in places that need it most. Our cards are 100% recyclable, too! Chuck \u2018em away, and one day they might come right back to you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

We use Royal Mail and DPD, the top two eco friendliest couriers in the UK. Why? Because the Postie doesn\u2019t emit any greenhouse gases (unless they had beans for breakfast.)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

We also print all of our cards on the UK\u2019s mainland. No shade, but some card companies print them overseas and fly them over because it\u2019s cheaper\u2026<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
