It\u2019s like the first pancake: the first few pictures you take probably won\u2019t be very good (we\u2019ve all been there!) But you have to take those bad photos to learn how to take good ones. Keep going, trial and error, until you find your groove.\u00a0<\/li><li>The next most important tip is good lighting. <span style=\"font-family: Roboto; font-size: 1rem; letter-spacing: 0.1px; color: var( --e-global-color-text );\">Even a blobfish looks pretty cool in the right lighting. It will help your products look their best, and if possible, try to use natural light rather than fluorescent or flash.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"outline: none;\">\u00a0Use a tripod \u2013 tripods can help you keep your camera steady and prevent blurry photos.\u00a0<\/li><li style=\"outline: none;\"><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); font-size: 1rem;\">Set up a simple background. A plain white background is best for most product photography. It will make your products stand out and be the focal point of the photo.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"outline: none;\"><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); font-size: 1rem;\">Another option is lifestyle photography. This is a great way to show how your product can be used in real life. Don\u2019t be afraid to hold your product to show scale, or place it in a common setting such as a living room or kitchen.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"outline: none;\"><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); font-size: 1rem;\">It\u2019s also a good idea to learn the rule of thirds.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"outline: none;\">Basically, you should always divide your shot into 3 equal parts both vertically and horizontally. Place your subject or more important details off-centre, leaving the other 2\/3 open. This helps draw the viewer&#8217;s eye into the whole composition rather than just the centre.<\/li><li style=\"outline: none;\"><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); font-size: 1rem;\">Take multiple photos. Don&#8217;t be afraid to take multiple photos of your products from different angles. This will give you more options to choose from when editing your photos.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"outline: none;\">Once you&#8217;ve taken your photos, you should use a photo editing software to enhance them.
